Silver Compass Maps, started by Khan Patel, began like many creators in the Dungeons and Dragons space by making maps for his personal D&D campaigns, but as he got better at mapmaking, he started making commissions works for other game masters, kickstarters, and even companies.
This success lead to many ongoing projects, including mapping out the entirely of the official Wizards of the Coast modules, such as Curse of Strahd and Rime of the Frostmaiden.
Silver Compass Maps’ cartography skills are not just limited to D&D, Khans has also made maps for Warhammer fantasy, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, and many other other table-top role playing games.
Silver Compass Maps style of art seeks to captivate the beauty of the natural world and how the interplay with fantasy environments would amplify that beauty. As Aristotle said: “Art takes nature as its model.”
